With very few interventions, this factory building was reduced to a unique working and living space. With respect for the existing spaces and by adding a monumental fireplace, the large spaces have been reduced to pleasant and cosy rooms. Around the fireplaces “mobile walls” were hung (heavy curtains). These can reduce or compartmentalize the space according to use. Warm white and broken black are the only “colors” used in the building. We chose the black to “reduce” the spaces, the white to give the interior more light. The side facade to the garden was opened up, which enhances the inside out feeling.
