House C

Stay at home
Herstberge

This existing house was completely gutted and refurbished. All daily amenities are available on the ground floor. In the hall on the second floor there is an open staircase with cantilevered steps and a light wall. A long furniture wall hides all the kitchen appliances such as the sinks, the cooker,… The wall consists of revolving & retractable doors. This allows the wall to be opened or closed completely. When the wall is completely closed, one wall of the room consists entirely of wood. The kitchen and dining area are separated by a custom made wine-fridge. By consciously using only a number of different materials combined with clean lines, we keep the interior sombre and soothing.
