A private room to retreat in peace and quiet. That was the owner’s wish. Our answer: monochromy, as exciting as it can be; by letting the original robust construction of beams and bricks visible, and  combining them with a contemporary loam technique and honest wood furniture. Soothing or compelling? The interpretation depends entirely on the mood of the day.
